Dude, the retailers laughed at me when I asked where I could find a switch.
Nintendo needs to learn to anticipate these things, how many times has it happened now?

For the record I don't know what a switch is.
I think I'm gonna get a PS4 soon. My PS3 is getting loud
Or I may just get another roku tv and stop playing video games. *sigh*

They do it on purpose so a bunch of dumb kids are like "omg did you see how popular this console is?!!" its a marketing strategy

Not really. They ship hundreds of thousands of units...and they all go to people who preordered. 99% of the time, they're all taken.

WiiU for the win. Got the game release day, no preorder. If you have a WiiU there's no sense in getting the Switch for a while, as is the case with almost every console - games will still come out on the last version. If you're in the market for a Nintendo, Switch will be the way to go.
But yeah, stuff selling out IS a marketing strategy but it's also the demand. Especially Nintendo demand. They don't sell the most but the fanbase is a lot more rabid. They must have it and they must have it now.

This is why I made up some story about working too much or whatever.
JUST KIDDING that really was a shoot, I still have a new boss and my hours are still shit and etc. But I am enjoying having Zelda to run around in and kill whatever random things I come across (or to die..)

I bought a switch from work...like two days after launch. There are still 3 or 4 of the consoles in stock there as of today lol. Some guy on a buy/sell/trade was trying to sell one for 600.

The ways you can kill enemies is crazy! Just watched a dude wait till and storm to kill a hinox. He used shieka armor to crawl on top of it..dropped a sword and a bomb. Lightning struck. Bomb went off. Hinox died.

Can someone explain to me why the Switch is $299 and Wii U - brand new ones are still about 200 or 250 dollars? When I heard it was on both systems, I wanted to go with what I thought was the cheaper option and buy a Wii U. I expected, with a brand new system, and with the previous gen system being 5 years old that it would be down to $150, but no. It's basically 50 bucks cheaper. What's the point in buying a WiiU? I should just wait 6 months and buy a Switch when they've worked out enough bugs, right?

This just goes to show how idiotic Nintendo really are lol Exactly. I don't care how revolutionary they are and how long they've been around. They make some INCREDIBLY STUPID decisions. It's why XBox and Playstation will forever be ahead of Nintendo.

Right. Also, had the lowered the price of the U, you and others may have bought that and then in a year or sos time bought the new console... but instead now you're like "meh I'll just buy the new" thus losing them out on some money right there!
I mean if even I am making sense here... you know its wrong lol

WiiU is also in shortage - supply and demand, mi amigos. It's impossible to get a Nintendo console, making people want it more.

I mean... there's 3D world and Smash bros and Mario Maker and the free Internet thing (unless that's going away too), Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and yes, breath of the wild. Those games will probably show up on the switch too, but if you don't want to wait...
