Hey everyone So, Bates has brought up the idea of a new storyline for the fed moving forward. I think this is a good idea. Traditionally it's always been the matches and titles that have done that. Factions come and go and that shifts the status quo from time to time. Maybe though, what we need right now, is a story that unites everyone in the fed against an outside force. We're the WCF. We need an enemy that's gathering on the horizon, and we need to band together to face that threat. Okay, so, this threat can't be another fed. It has to be something we control. It also has to work within the framework of the fed itself. Slam's will go on, matches and title changes will go on. So, how could this story work? I have a few ideas I'd like to put forward. One: we use Slams as a way to tell this story. We have wrestlers attacked and even Seth attacked. Not by existing ppl on the roster, but, let's say as an example, the Russian mafia. The mafia want to buy out the fed and put their own stars in place. Basically an army of Rusev and Brock Lesnar types that are genetically altered fighters. These guys are basically superhuman in strength and speed. We create these guys together by spit-balling ideas on the boards in threads. Two: The bad guys have a figurehead, Seth would have another account so he can play the main bad guy and post stuff on the internet boards from time to time so that we can react to it and say how we're gonna kill the superhuman Russian bad guys as a unit. It's WCF V the bad guys, with us using the internet boards for a bit of team bonding rather than tearing into each other. The story has Seth confront the Russian crime lord on a Slam and say he's going to form a team of the five best from the fed to face his army. We have a mini tournament, the best get on the team and defend the fed in a winner takes all match. We do a five on five hardcore battle royal match, it's insane and brutal and some of the Russians die. It's Team WCF fighting for it's survival. The ending of the match will always be team WCF wins. But here's where the competitive side comes in. The best RP submitted for Team WCF will translate into one of the team becoming the person to score the final pin that banishes the villains and finally ends the story line. You end up being the hero of the WCF. Even if you're a heel, you're the guy that saved the day. So, what do you guys think? If we go primarily with this idea, should we make the top-bad guy (the leader) have some WCF connection from the past? I think it would be better than just some random group of guys coming to take us all out. We could make up something where Seth knew this guy from the past, or turned him away from the WCF in the past and this leader has held a grudge with Seth ever since....or something like that. I just think this group needs a connection to the WCF in the past.

Hey everyone!
So, here's what the next step will be. We basically have enough characters now to chose from, and some great choices for direction. Now's the time to decide.
First off, I'd like you to choose from the following narratives:
1] A figure from WCF's past out for revenge. 2] A Russian mafia head honcho out to take over the WCF. 3] A gang of Yakuza villains out to destroy the WCF so as to promote their own rival fed in the west. 4] An Old school wrestling monarchy who hate what the sport has become and want to wipe out the current generation.
Now I'd like you all to look though the list of NPC's we have so far, choose 5, then list them below:
1] 2] 3] 4] 5]

The leader that would be awesome to have would be Torture. Dean ChancerFormer North Dakota State football player who was kicked off team do to bitch slapping a waterboy at practice. Muratagi Born into a Mob family with roots in Japan. Looking for his fathers approval by taking over an American wrestling company. Su Suk LuangSoldier of the Thai Mob family sent to America to collect a debt owed by the Lerch family. Caden StoneCaden was rejected by Seth Lerch from the WCF Dojo for being too stiff in the ring. Caden went to Japan to continue his training and caught the eye of the Russian mob. Willie Holden6'0"/ 270 lbs. Palmdale, CaliforniaWas developmentaly talent for WCF last few years and was fired for busting Grime wide open in a dark match.

I agree with AY, having Torture as the leader would make sense too... what with him feuding with Seth and all

True, Torture is a good choice. I forgot about Holden. I think the disgruntled, anti-WCF movement story is possibility.

My input as quoted from chat
Sooo what if the invasion was real, but on a different scale?
I'd go with stronger clones of existing WCF stars. Let's say this. I'm backstage and "Johnny Rabid" comes up out of nowhere and absolutely crushes me or something. No reason, no prior explanation, nothing. Then you have the bit the next week where Spencer confronts the real Rabid like "the fuck, man?!" Rabid has no idea what he's talking about obviously. This gets us into a slew of trouble before people start to catch onto a bigger force using these fake versions of real stars to control WCF. It kinda works itself out.
Of course, me and Rabid are just examples. This could be done with anyone.

I have a few ideas to bang around that fit in with the general narrative.
Soviet Steel Pro Wrestling based in Saint Petersburg catches wind of WCF having an International Title. Of course, it's years later, but still. Owner and operator (whatever his name is) sends his best to WCF to crush and bring home the International Title, thinking it is theirs to begin with.
tl:dr - It's all Dag's fault.
--------------------------------------
Mexico v2
In a stunning turn of events, Seth Lerch loses his cool about something and shuts WCF down, leaving everyone free agents. They're all scooped up by a mysterious new fed (one that is figureheaded by a nameless person, that can be the main bad/returning star) and adds to his ever increasing roster. We change the logos, the whole deal to becomes whatever this fed is sort of like what we did with EPPW. This would be beneficial for anyone already feuding with someone because it could pick right up there, while the overall story could be filled with those of us that want to take part in the main story of this fed - which, of course, could be anything. Boss dude treats WCF guys like shit, used his money to just get our asses kicked, ran by Russian mob, Yakuza, whatever.
It could also be positioned to be a Street Fighter-esque situation where one guy has set up underground fights all across the world, taking place in seedy venues and watched by the world's elite businessmen and politicians. Feuds could continue, fights could become barbaric, Seth could have sold us all off for a bajillion dollars and eventually a team of WCF people overthrows the whole criminal organization, Seth reopens WCF and is richer than ever, sending WCF into a boom period where PPVs are held in football stadiums, etc.

I like the clones idea, it's on the list now if ppl want to vote for that. Also really digging the Torture idea.
CD came up with a great riff on the Russian mafia idea; check this out....

Another one we can consider.
No need for us to rush our decisions here, we should think about this over the weekend.

I think with most of the ideas we have here, depending on how long we want this to go we could have it culminate at te Mexico PPV as a sign of solidarity across WCF whereas last year it collapsed at this time, now it comes together to fight off outside forces

So a couple of ideas... 1. What with The Dub's reputation of murder and psychos... What if the federal government gets involved? Seth weasels his way out of major charges by offering The Dub as a training ground for top elite soldiers to come in or special agents to train or something... Evil government official leads the charge. 2. Territory wars like the good old days of wrestling before vince bought them up. Basically taking the Steel idea but adding other territories into the mix. Like mexicos fed which is ran by the cartel and cartel money (ties to Oneals drug dealer ways ), Russian mafias fed, yokuza fed, and the sleazy promoter from Bishops universe, Vincent Pryde who is a promototer our of new york. Each has their champions to feud with our top talent in a tournament of sorts...

I like this too lol but I'd maybe alter it a little bit so it's like being invaded by like a parallel universe or something with the other versions of ourselves being our opposites... So their Kat Phoenix is a huge adored baby face and the faces are heels and stuff

Integrity Championship Wrestling: sport with morals. Ran by Jonah Worth who invades the WCF and lays down the law with an army of "moral, upstanding wrestlers" at his command.
