The reviews are fucking hilarious. The general consensus is that it's terrible, with one critic calling it "boring". I don't understand why it's got such a low rating on that site yet it's got a 8/10 on imdb? I mean I'm still going to see the movie for sure... but right now it looks like I need to bow down to CD and admit Marvel is better

Because there's 16.5k 10/10s on imdb - purchased or fake otherwise.

It will continue to drop drastically. I guarantee it. I doubt the movie will stay above 7.4 to be honest and that is a generous projection. This thing is getting PANNED!

How can they have messed it up so bad I hope this doesn't cause people to shit on Afleck as batman cos I still think he'd make a good batman given an actual decent script

Apparently he is unbearably boring along with the rest of the movie. Gonna be honest. I REALLY liked 300 and The Watchmen, but beyond that, Zack Snyder is turning out to be a shit director who seems to be more about himself than about making his movies any good. He is ALL trademarks (in subsitution for style) and very much lacks in the actual story telling department.

Apparently the one saving grace is when Wonder Woman shows up.
However earlier in the movie, when she's her alter ego and nobody knows it's her, they use the stereotypical "she's just eye candy" stuff and critics are blasting the fact that Wonder Woman's debut in a live action movie would subject her to that.

I'd only rank maybe a handful of superhero movie fight scenes above this.

The variety review was quite positive: but it seems to be a lone spark of enthusiasm in an otherwise dark day for DC. Even if the film opens well, those reviews are going to hurt the overall box office. You also can't hang a universe on a poorly received film, not unless your name is Michael Bay, and you're apparently teflon to such matters.
There's supposedly one scene where Batman is getting ready for the showdown with big blue by doing sit-ups and hitting a tire with a sledgehammer. It's like a poor man's Rocky IV.
Bats V Supes won't tank box office wise, it will make some money for sure. The real question now is, what does all this negativity mean for the suicide squad movie?
These could be bad times for Warner Bros.

Suicide Squad already has bad reviews for having a heavily tattooed, grill wearing, Lamborghini driving Joker. Not to mention Killer Croc looks more like Killer Frog and Harley Quinn looks more whore than psycho.

According to Dark Horizons, Bats V Supes projected box office opening is still up in the 160 million range. That falls short of Force Awakens, but is still gangbusters no matter what kind of dirge it turns out to be. Hell, I'm seeing it tomorrow, I'll let you all know if it stands up.
