I'm not really great at coming up with angles either.. but I'd love to get more involved I looked at your roster entry. Alexander Richards is a heel who loves to hurt people. He enjoys it. Here's a rather "cookie cutter" standard storyline you could do. It doesn't have a lot of meat in it. In other words, it's not as involved as the NvL storyline from a while back where he was kidnapping people and such, but it will work as an intro into storylines for you. First, decide if you want to do a standard heel vs. face feud/storyline. Let's say for this example you want to do this against a face wrestler. Take a look through the roster and find a few face wrestlers and check out the shows and some of their promos (roleplays) and look for the ones that aren't involved in anything. PM one and find someone that would like to do this with you. Make sure it's someone whose style in terms of promos/roleplays fits well with yours. Next, it's best since you're the heel to start the feud/storyline with Alexander's own actions. Have Seth book you and the face in a singles match or tag match. Have it to where if you lose you get your revenge by viciously attacking the face after the match. If you win, you don't stop after the bell rings. You just attack them anyway just because you love dealing out the pain. The next Slam, the face could do one of two things depending on the type of face they are. They could get into the ring and criticize you for your cowardly actions and basically call you out. They could challenge you to come out and face you like a man. They come out and you lay into each other and the face gets the upper hand and you bail like a heel. The other thing they could do instead is to just run out and attack you during or after your match with you still bailing like a heel. Most faces may not do this. Up until the PPV you could take turns jumping each other and getting Seth to keep you two involved in matches if possible and then on the week before the PPV, someone lays down the challenge to fight it out at the PPV. At this point if you want something short, you duke it out, best man wins and we're done. If you want to extend it to be a multi-month deal (2-4 months), you have just a standard match, winner with the best promos wins the first match. You could lead up to the next PPV by doing more of the same but get a little more violent and in each other's faces and business in general. Even get to the point where security has to break you up rather than someone getting the upper hand or anything. This could turn into something that goes on for 2-3 PPVs with a different stipulation for your matches in upcoming PPV matches.

I'd love to get more involved I echo this, I just haven't caught a break yet. I admit I might be impatient, but the thread hasn't helped me at all.

I don't know enough about your characters, but based on what you wrote in your initial post Marina, you sound like you and Alexander may mesh well for a storyline. Maybe even the one I posted above tailored to your characters. Alexander could be stalking you and attacking you in an attempt to bring your evil side back out of you. You're a face. You want to toe the line and be a good person so as to be a good influence, but to defend yourself against Alexander's attacks, you have to channel that dark side of yours to overcome him. Not enough to turn heel, but just to put that edge to your face mentality.

CD's Expert Feud/Storyline Advice:
DO. NOT. OVER. COMPLICATE. ANYTHING. When you start adding in ridiculous things like kidnapping and stuff, for a new person, it will set that tone for the rest of your time here. You start small and build to big stuff, not BAM BAM BAM big stuff all the time because soon you'll be out of ideas, always having to top what you did before. This is bad. Start off with something very simple. Internet board is a great place to do that.
Try to match yourself up with someone on the same RPing level as you. You want a match to be able to go either way without having to storyline the match.
Older guys will normally do all we can to elevate newer people. I did my best with Caliban, even though it was sort of cut short. I'd have liked to go a while longer than we did, but focus kinda shifted. Thing there is we can pick it back up at any time because we keep the connection through the Twitter board.
Be flexible. If you want your character going over all the time in every segment, then get the fuck out. This is a give and take kind of place, even Jonny Fly gets beat up on shows.

Great advice from GD and CD. One more thing I would suggest is that it's beneficial to find someone that you're compatible with from a writing standpoint, two characters that can mesh together in a feud. My favorite feud that I've done was with a guy named Lawnmower Jones back in 2007. I might be mistaken since it's been a few years and my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think Seth was the one who suggested that I work with him. I had never talked to LJ before that, but I PMed the dude and in an hour we banged out the storyline arc for a three month feud. It was awesome. And it worked because we had a similar style and we were willing to give and take in the feud, like CD just mentioned.

Or just freaking kidnap people; always worked for me. Small kidnapping, big kidnapping, simple, complicated . . . kidnapping works in all cases. Like when in doubt, go kidnap someone's manager and BOOM: Instant storyline.

I have built multiple feuds just talking shit to people on the Twitter board. Jeff and Eric Price, Jeff and GD kinda, Jeff and Terry RobertSYNN kinda...I mean, thats another way to really help move your character along.

Right. All you need is a general idea. A goal helps-- like a PPV match for example. The week to week stuff works itself out. This stuff is really simple but it's just hard for people to take the first step.

When I started here Jay Price wouldn't work with me Sometimes you have to work with yourself to really jump-start things, do your own storyline, make your own waves, talk shit to people on Twitter, all that fun stuff. Create dummy characters or side characters and do whatever the hell you want with them. Make your own story if you have to, and shove that story down people's throats. I believe that more people here understand Brett Alpine's character more so than some of the others who came in around the same time, simply because he's had several things going on with his character, he's advertised that, used it in RP's, done segments, IC posts, etc.

I'll add that honestly when I was new I was willing to work with anyone. I still am for the most part but the point is to try not to decide on your own before you even talk to someone if they're someone you want to work with or not. Try to be open to all types of stuff. Remember it's just like real wrestling, if a story isn't working out you can always drop it and move along. No one is getting married here.

Just as important as being active in pushing your own character is knowing and reacting to what other people are doing in the WCF. You can build an elaborate back story or storyline for your own wrestler but if its essentially exists in a vacuum its likely not going to get a ton of attention.

Not to a WCF member though. Eww, that would be weird. No offence I have a storyline going that's been building since early February but is about to kick into gear. It might involve several wrestlers so, if anyone's interested, drop me a PM. Just to say that I welcome any PMs related to angles. Even if I don't like the angle itself, I love being considered. To be honest, I haven't had the BIG feud yet. Really craving it but it hasn't quite worked out yet. Hopefully it is coming soon.

Yeah, I love PMs too! Especially related to angles or if they are filled with compliments. I just feel tingly inside when I see that little notice pop up.

A little something I want to throw out there... Keep an eye on what Seth does behind the scenes too! When he books your character, a lot of the time he is presenting possible angles for you week by week. I still remember back in 2011 when I was thrown randomly into a tag titles match with FPV against Deruty and Logan, and it led to a storyline that continued well into 2013, with Speede teaming with. FPV, turning into arch enemies, and then working together again in Genesis, all from being thrown randomly into a match together. Similarly, if you particularly like or don't like how a match was written/the way the match ended/certain spots of the match, you could easily jump on that as a possible storyline, like count-outs ("the only way you'll ever be able to beat me is via count out!"), dirty finishes (weapons, distractions/interferences, etc.), or even a "you tapped out!" Sort of thing leading to a sort of submission-only match or even calling out someone's victory as a "fluke". Maybe you want your character to call someone out on being too cocky without the talent to back it up, being too merciful to opponents, or using tactics that are too dangerous (ie, undertaker's "hell's gate" submission hold that was deemed too dangerous by Vickie Guerrero as part of storyline).
And again, to mirror Orbit's sentiments, never be afraid to send a PM. I don't think I've ever been straight-up refused an opportunity to work with anyone, even from people who seem to not like me as a person. I've been told to "put it on hold" because it could mess up other storylines or that we'd have to "wait till later" because someone was already in the middle of something, but I've never been given a flat-out no.

Don't worry, she also calls me another name sometimes. Weirdly enough it's usually when we're getting intimate together. Easy to get 'Big Dick Dario' and Mark confused, apparently... Seriously though, thanks for the kudos! Looking forward/dreading dueling against you in the Pantheon/Sequitus match on Slam.

And didn't you end his career, only to make him the manager of The 8th Wonder?
