Open your eyes. You're in the wrong world. It's my fault. I'm the one who brought you into it. Now, I'm going to take you out of it.[/i][/color]
After hearing these words, Mikami's eyes open. He pushes himself up on his hands, having been lying on the cold floor, on his side. He shakes his head, trying to clear out the cobwebs, but the return of lucidity doesn't provide much in the way of answers. He had been walking around, trying to avoid Hank Brown. A sudden dizzy spell, and the next thing he knew, he was waking up on the floor. He had never fainted before in his life, although the concussion he had once experienced came close. And that dream...well, that had to be all it was. A dream. A hallucination. He brings himself to his feet and walks around, still dazed. Lost in thought, and lost in the labyrinth of backstage, he doesn't notice that he is approaching the voice of Hank Brown.
Hank: So then I said, snow cone? What snow cone? Ha ha!
Cameraman: Nice.
Mikami starts to walk past them, before Hank quickly moves to stand in front of him.
Hank: Whoa, hey, uh, you never got to tell everyone why you joined the Team of Torture?
Mikami: Now is really not the right time. Monday will be better.
Hank: On Slam?
Mikami: What?
Hank: On Slam. You want to make your statement at Slam?
Mikami: Oh. Yes.
Mikami shakes his head again. Hank looks concerned.
Hank: Tough loss last week.
Mikami: Yes...tough. Tough...tough loss.
Hank: Are you, uh, are you OK?
Mikami: Yes, I am fine.
Hank: How many fingers am I holding up?
Mikami: Seriously?
Hank: Tell me.
Mikami: Four. Why are you so concerned all of a sudden?
Hank: Hey, if something's wrong with one of the guys, and I don't let Seth know about it? And he finds out? I'm gone. Fired, you know?
Mikami: I see.
Mikami starts to walk away.
Hank: Hey, wait!
Mikami: What?
Hank: Thoughts on your match this week?
Mikami: Now that Ryan Daniels and I are an actual team, we are getting better and stronger every day. What happened last week won't happen again. Besides, we have a reason to fight. We are part of a larger team. We will be fighting for pride and honor. Logan and Hector Rodriguez, they just blindly rebel. They look at the Team of Torture, their clear superiors, and they are compelled to fight us, against all logic and reason. They have no common ground other than that.
Hank: Speaking of which, it is strange to see you willingly team with Ryan Daniels, your long-time nemesis.
Mikami: Nothing has really changed, Hank Brown. I am doing just what I said I was going to do: what is best for me.
He pushes Hank's microphone down to get it out of his face, and walks down the hall.
