11/30/10
A slow, repetitive beeping sound is heard, first soft and distant until gradually it becomes louder, as the scene slowly begins to fade in on a white tile ceiling. The beeping gradually grows louder as the scene becomes clearer, until finally the sound is heard perfectly. The camera slowly pans across the ceiling, and then down the white walls of the hospital until the heartbeat monitor itself is seen. The camera zooms in on the screen, taking in the rhythmic pattern of what appears to be a very relaxed heart. The camera suddenly begins to shake violently as a blinding white light takes over the screen. Without warning the scene suddenly changes...
The camera is pointed upward toward the ceiling, but it can't be seen through the heads of at least a half dozen paramedics kneeling over you, calling out your name as their hands try to tend to your body. You hear screams faintly in the distance, but you can't make out the words as the ringing in your head is deafening. Your vision, blurry at first, slowly begins to focus back in as the ringing in your ears begins to quiet itself. You can hear the paramedics as they discuss the best options. You can hear someone screaming out your name.
Shannan! Let me through to her. Shannan!
You try to lift your head but someone is right there to keep it down on the ground, telling you not to move. You try to struggle against their grip but their hold remains firm. You continue to hear the person screaming to be left to see you as they continue to be held back. Suddenly a loud commotion is heard and one of the paramedics standing over you is thrown off to the side. A second and third paramedic are pushed off as suddenly a man in all black with a hood pulled over his head stands over you. You try to move but he is too fast, and without a chance to get away, he produces a pipe from his side and raises it above his head before swinging it downward. You freeze with fear as you watch it near you....and then the camera begins to violently shake as a blinding white light takes over the scene.
The camera finally stops shaking and the light fades as the sound of a heartbeat monitor is again heard. Only now there is a frantic beeping sound going on and an alarm is ringing. The scene fully fades back in on the screen of the heartbeat monitor and then pans off to the side where Shannan Lerch is lying in a hospital bed, thrashing about as a group of nurses are trying to restrain her as another nurse readies a shot. She takes hold of the IV attached to Shannan's arm and slowly injects the needle into it before pushing a clear liquid into the tube. Shannan continues to thrash against the hold of the nurses, her movements slowly becoming weaker and weaker until finally she slumps back against her pillow and closes her eyes. The camera then slowly pans off to the left where Jay Price comes into view, standing in the doorway to the room with a look of true concern on his face. He steps in and walks to Shannan's side as the nurse's begin to leave the room. He stops one of them as he takes her hand into his.
Jay Price: Is she going to be okay? Why does she keep thrashing about like that?
Nurse: Sometimes when a person goes through a traumatic experience, like the fall and the attack that your girlfriend experienced, they subconsciously replay that event in their heads without them being able to control it. Shannan is merely going through that experience now, and to be honest, we have no idea how long it will take for this to stop.
Jay Price: What can I do for her?
Nurse: Just be here with her.
The nurse turns and leaves the room, pulling the door shut behind her as Price pulls a chair up beside Shannan's bed and again takes her hand into his.
Jay Price: Shannan, I know you and I have never exactly been that close. Even when we were dating, I know we never actually told each other how we felt, but I want you to know that I always did care about you. The jokes I've made about you, the terrible things I've said, all of it was just because deep down I missed having you around. But you and I both knew that as long as I was in this business we couldn't be together. You never believed me when I told you that us being together was dangerous for you. You wouldn't believe that someone would hurt you just to hurt me. You wouldn't believe me...and now we're here because you just wouldn't listen to me.
The camera zooms in on Price's hand as he slowly grips Shannan's hand tighter against his own.
Jay Price: I swear to god that I'm going to find the son of a bitch that did this to you Shannan. I'm going to find him and rip his fucking head off.
The door to the room opens as a nurse pokes her head in.
Nurse: Sir, visiting hours are over now, so I'm going to have to ask you to say your goodbyes so Ms. Lerch can get her rest.
Jay Price: Yeah, whatever.
The nurse again shuts the door as Price stands up from his chair, still holding onto Shannan's hand.
Jay Price: I know how happy you were about this baby, and even though I didn't exactly jump for joy when you told me, I want you to know that I was looking forward it. Crazy as it sounds, I really did like the idea of a little Jay Price running around causing chaos like his old man.
Price chuckles and then chokes up as he tries to hold back from letting out his true emotions. His eyes, looking slight red and puffy, twinkle as the light hits the bit of moisture building around them. He leans over her and places his lips on her forehead, letting them linger as he closes his eyes and kisses her. The door again opens as the nurse walks in with a clipboard in hand.
Nurse: Sir, I'm goi...
Jay Price: Yeah, yeah I'm going.
Price stands up and grabs his jacket from the back of the chair. He puts it on and leans over Shannan, giving her one last kiss on the lips before turning toward the door. As they go about checking their vitals, Price takes one last look at Shannan from the doorway. Her eyes flutter open and she slowly turns her toward him. She speaks, whispering in a weak voice, but it's enough that Price can make out what she's saying as he nods his head. He turns and walks out into the hallway before reaching into his jacket pocket and pulling out his cell phone. He turns it back on and dials a number as an orderly walks by him. The orderly notices the cell phone on and goes to say something but a glare from Price quiets him rather quickly as he scurries off.
Jay Price: As soon as you get this message call me back. I don't care what time of day it is, we need to talk. Something big happened recently and something tells me that even I won't be able to handle this one on my own.
Price cuts his message short as he ends the call and tucks the phone back into his pocket. The scene fades out as he walks toward the set of double doors that lead outside.
The scene slowly begins to fade back in when out of nowhere the camera begins to shake violently. A blinding white light takes over the scene as an ear shattering scream is heard. The violent shaking stops instantly and the scene is focused immediately...
The camera is focused on a fallen Seth Lerch, lying unconscious on the steel ramp. You reach out and slowly shake his shoulder, trying to wake him to no effect. You spot a paramedic running toward you and you try and stop him...but he runs right by you and to the area below the ramp. You look to where he's running to and notice a large group forming a circle around a fallen person. You then remember Shannan from earlier and stand up, snapping your head toward the announce table. You see the empty seat and fear takes over your body as you sprint toward the scene. A paramedic sees you coming and cuts you off, holding you back. You fight back as two more come to help the first keep you back, but you don't relent in trying to get through. You scream Shannan's name but she doesn't move as paramedics continue to tend to her.
And then you see him.
You see the man that is about to ruin your life.
You scream at the paramedics to watch out...but it's too late as you watch as one of them is pushed off to the side. A man, coming from out of nowhere, dressed in all black with a hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head steps from the shadows with a steel pipe in his hands. You continue to yell as the man throws more of the paramedics to the side and moves slowly toward Shannan. You continue your struggle to get through the three paramedics who aren't listening to your pleas. You're forced to watch as the man raises the pipe over his head and brings it down full force onto Shannan's stomach. Shannan clutches her stomach and screams in agony as the man runs off. You let out an animistic scream of rage and tear through the men, who fall to the ground in shock. You give chase after the man, who uses his head start to quickly get a head start. An official backstage crosses your path and you grab him, slamming him into a nearby wall as you scream for information. The man, a look of pure fear in his eyes, quickly points toward the parking lot. You drop him to the ground and run full speed toward the parking lot, throwing the doors open just in time to see a black sedan, it's window's tinted, peeling out of the arena. You drop to your knees and let out another scream as you place your hands on the back of your head, in total disbelief over what just happened. The doors to the parking lot open up behind you as paramedics rush out pushing a stretcher with an unconscious Shannan on it. The sounds of an ambulance's sirens in the distance slowly grow closer as the paramedics continue to tend to Shannan. You stand up and try to walk over to her but are stopped as they tell you to give her some room. You don't listen, choosing to take out both paramedics in front of you. The first you drop with a right hand to the side of the face. The second, a bit more unlucky, you take his head and slam it into a nearby car window. You then stare down the rest of the paramedics, almost daring them to keep you from being with Shannan. None do so and you walk toward Shannan as the scene again begins to shake violently and the blinding white light takes over...
12/1/10
The camera suddenly cuts to Jay Price's bedroom as Price sits up in his bed, beads of sweat pouring down his face as he frantically looks around the dark bedroom. Seeing nothing around him, he calms himself down and wipes the sweat from his face. He then throws the blanket off of him as he swings his legs around to the side of the bed and stands up.
Jay Price: What the fuck was that shit all about?
Price makes his way toward his bathroom when the room suddenly begins to spin. He falls to one knee as he shakes his head, trying to keep his wits about him. He stands back up and stumbles into the dark bathroom, where he falls against the sink. He reaches out and fumbles for the light switch.
Jay Price: Where the hell is that damn switch?
Price finds it and flips it on before turning on the water in the sink. He splashes some on his face and then grabs a towel as he stands back up, patting his face dry. He pulls the towel from his face and looks into the mirror...
Jay Price: What the fuck!?!
Staring back at Price is the man that attacked Shannan. A hood is pulled up over his head and his face is covered by a ski mask, but Price would recognize him from anywhere.
Jay Price: I'm going to kill you Logan!
Price balls up his fist and swings, connecting right where the man's face would be...if it wasn't just a mirror. Price's fist crashes into the glass, cutting him open as it shatters. Price yells out in pain as he pulls his fist back and stares into the mirror. The man is still there, only now his image is broken up into hundreds of pieces.
The man's image in the mirror fades away, leaving only Price staring at himself in the broken glass.
Price continues to stare at his broken reflection, blood dripping onto the linoleum floor forming a puddle at his feet. The camera zooms in on the reflection as Price slowly grins.
Jay Price: Well I guess if you can't beat them, you might as well join them
The scene ends as Price reaches out with his bloody hand and flips off the light switch. The moonlight coming from the window in his bedroom shines lightly into the bathroom, lighting up Price just enough for the camera to still be able to see his reflection in the mirror. Price then turns away from the mirror and walks away as the scene fades out.

You need us now more than ever Jay. You've been fighting us for so long now, but now is the time to finally accept us. If you don't, we will slowly destroy you from the inside and then rebuild you as we see fit. Give in to us. Work with us. Let us help you become who you really are.
Shut up..shut up...shut up! You don't exist. Get out of my head you stupid voices!
Of course we exist Jay, and now is the time for you to finally accept that as fact. Stop trying to keep us from helping you.
Helping me? All you've ever done is try and drive me insane. Just go away!
We will never leave you Jay. We will forever be a part of you, whether you choose to accept that or not. Now quit fighting us and let us help you. You need us now more than ever
And what exactly do you think you can do? You know nothing.
We may not know anything, but we can help you when you do find something.
What does that mean?
All in due time Jay, all in due time...
Shut up..shut up...shut up! You don't exist. Get out of my head you stupid voices!
